possible.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following
areas, Coastal Del Norte, Del Norte Interior, Northern Humboldt
Coast, Northern Humboldt Interior, Southern Humboldt Interior and
Southwestern Humboldt.
* WHEN…From Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS…There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides
along roadways. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– An atmospheric river storm system will arrive Saturday and
will deliver moderate to heavy rainfall over nearly saturated
ground from a recent succession of strong frontal systems. An
additional 2 to 6 inches of rainfall is expected Saturday
through Sunday night. Locally up to 8 inches over the south
windward facing terrain.
