FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN NM DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW
HUMIDITY…

.Southwest flow aloft and surface winds will strengthen on Monday
due to an approaching Pacific storm system and developing lee
side trough. Humidity will plummet into the single digits in most
locations as high temperatures soar roughly 10-15 degrees above
average. The Pacific system will move over on Tuesday, bringing
even stronger westerly winds and another round of critical fire
weather conditions.

* AREA AND TIMING…Northeast Highlands (Zones 123) from late
Monday morning through Monday early evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS…Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Bottoming out from 6 to 11 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
