Flash Flood Warning issued March 16 at 5:03AM EDT until March 16 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

At 503 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that showers and
thunderstorms had moved off to the east; however, excessive runoff
from previous heavy rainfall will continue to cause flash flooding
of small streams and creeks, roads, and roadside culverts.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Irvine, Mount Vernon, McKee, Whitley City, Burnside, Ravenna,
Billows, Bernstadt, Wood Creek Lake, Sand Hill, Sand Springs,
Rockcastle Springs and Wellhope.
