rainfall are expected.
* WHERE…Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky,
including the following counties, in south central Kentucky,
Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Wayne and Whitley. In southeast
Kentucky, Bell, Clay, Knox and Leslie.
* WHEN…Until 845 AM EDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of creeks, streams, especially in low-lying and
flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1145 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain
continuing to fall across the area. Most locations have
received between 2 and 3 inches of rainfall since Saturday
morning. Additional rainfall overnight will range from three
quarters of an inch to an inch and a half. Excessive runoff
will cause flooding in the warned area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Somerset, London, Monticello, Williamsburg, Barbourville,
Pineville, Manchester, Whitley City, Middlesboro, and
Burnside.
