…The National Weather Service in Morristown TN has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Tennessee…
Emory River At Oakdale TN affecting Roane and Morgan Counties.
For the Emory River…including Oakdale TN…Moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Emory River at Oakdale TN.
* WHEN…Until late this afternoon.
* IMPACTS…At 12.0 feet, Minor flooding occurs below Riverview
Road. No buildings or roads are threatened.
At 18.0 feet, Flooding begins of the rural Clifty Creek Road and
bridge over Clifty Creek that immediately joins the Emory River
there.
At 27.0 feet, Flooding starts on Riverview Road. Homes (mostly
elevated) closest to the river can have up to about 4 feet of
water in their ground floors. Some storage sheds flood. Homes on
the far side of the street will have some water in the yards.
At 28.0 feet, Homes on the near side of Riverview Road will have
about 5 feet of water in them. Riverview Road is completely
impassable in places. In Harriman, expect flooding in the area of
Margrave Drive and Southern Railroad, as well as on low spots of W
Carter Ave and Riggs Chapel Rd.
At 30.0 feet, Homes on Riverview Road are inundated with 5 to 8
feet of water. A few homes on the opposite side of the road might
start taking water. Water may reach onto Emory Drive in Harriman.

– At 4:00 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 25.0 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this morning to a crest of 29.0 feet this morning. It will
then fall below flood stage late this morning.
– Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
