Special Weather Statement issued March 16 at 2:02AM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL

A near stationary band of moderate to heavy snow is developing for
locations in eastern Iowa and counties along the Mississippi
River, reaching as far north as the Quad Cities Area and Clinton,
Iowa. While most locations may see an inch or less of snow, the
areas seeing the axis of heaviest snow will have the potential of
reaching upwards to 2-4″ of snow tonight and into the early
morning hours. This snow will continue to fall and move east
through the night. Road temperatures remain mild, which should
allow most snow to melt on impact on most roadways, resulting in
little/no accumulation. Those that see the heavier snowfall rates
will have a chance to see the snowfall overcome the warm pavements
and accumulate for a short time. Expect lower visibilities in the
snow as well, where it may be under a mile at times. Remember,
ice and snow, take it slow!
