North Fork Coquille River near Myrtle Point affecting Coos County.

South Fork Coquille River at Myrtle Point affecting Coos County.

For the Coquille River…including Coquille…Major flooding is
forecast.
For the North Fork Coquille River…including Myrtle Point…Major
flooding is forecast.
For the South Fork Coquille River…including Myrtle Point…Major
flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…South Fork Coquille River at Myrtle Point.

* WHEN…Until early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 40.0 feet, Extensive and widespread flooding along
and near the South Fork Coquille River can be expected along with
damage to houses farms and roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:20 PM PDT Sunday the stage was 40.2 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:20 PM PDT Sunday was 40.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 40.4 feet tonight, then
gradually fall below flood stage late Monday evening and
below bankfull late Tuesday morning.
– Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
40.2 feet on 12/06/1987.
