Elk River Near Prospect affecting Giles and Limestone Counties.

For the Elk River…including Prospect…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Elk River near Prospect.

* WHEN…Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, Flooding is impacting agricultural areas
along the river across southeast Giles County. Water covers Veto
Rd near the Hargrove – Johnson bridge south of Route 273. It may
be unsafe to pass and motorists should seek an alternate route.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 26.0 feet and rising.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:15 PM CDT Sunday was 26.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 26.6 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday
evening to 11.4 feet by Thursday evening.
– Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
