For the Umpqua River…including Elkton…Moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Umpqua River near Elkton.

* WHEN…Until Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 40.0 feet, Homes and businesses along and near the
Umpqua River near Scottsburg begin to flood. Widespread low-land
and agricultural flooding can be expected from Kellog through
Elkton to Scottsburg.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:15 PM PDT Sunday the stage was 38.0 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:15 PM PDT Sunday was 38.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 41.0 feet early this
morning. It will then fall below flood stage this evening,
lowering down to 12.5 feet by late Friday evening.
– Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
40.1 feet on 11/23/1961.
