* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Neuse River near Clayton.
* WHEN…Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS…At 9.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Minor overflow
occurs on both banks. Water reaches the edge of the Neuse River
Greenway trail.
At 10.0 feet, Upstream of the gage site, the Neuse River Greenway
at Covered Bridge Road begins to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 6:15 AM EDT Monday the stage was 9.6 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:15 AM EDT Monday was 9.6 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.7
feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
this afternoon.
