Lake Wind Advisory issued March 17 at 1:58AM PDT until March 17 at 11:00PM PDT by NWS Reno NV

* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 20 to 35 mph with
gusts up to 55 mph. For the Lake Wind Advisory for Pyramid Lake,
west winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and waves 2 to 4
feet.

* WHERE…Western Nevada Basin and Range including Pyramid Lake.

* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, until 5 AM PDT early this morning.
For the Lake Wind Advisory, from 11 AM this morning to 11 PM PDT
this evening.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Reduced visibility is also possible due to blowing dust especially
near deserts, playas, and sinks. Small boats, kayaks and paddle
boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake
waters until conditions improve.
