Rip Current Statement issued March 16 at 11:48AM EDT until March 17 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL

* WHAT…For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.
For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 4 to 8
feet expected in the surf zone.

* WHERE…Walton, Bay and Gulf County Beaches.

* WHEN…For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 AM EDT /5 AM CDT/
Monday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Beachgoers should
stay out of the water.
