Winter Storm Warning issued March 17 at 3:49AM MDT until March 18 at 12:00PM MDT by NWS Billings MT

* WHAT…Heavy snow and blowing snow occurring. Additional snow
accumulations between 10 and 15 inches. Winds gusting as high as
50 mph this morning.

* WHERE…Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains and Crazy Mountains.

* WHEN…Until noon MDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Heavy snow combined with strong winds will make travel
treacherous and backcountry recreation potentially
life-threatening. Expect a significant increase in avalanche
danger.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The strongest winds will occur this morning,
with winds diminishing after sunrise. Periods of moderate to heavy
snow will continue into Tuesday morning.
