Blizzard Warning issued March 18 at 9:41AM CDT until March 19 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Goodland KS

* WHAT…Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations up
to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph resulting in
visibilities one quarter mile or less at times.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest and west central Kansas and
southwest Nebraska.

* WHEN…From 10 PM this evening to 1 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel
treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Visibilities will
drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Plan on
treacherous road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact
the Wednesday morning commute. Very strong winds along with the
snow could cause extensive tree damage and additional stress to
power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snowfall amounts may increase if the rainfall
can change over to snow quicker. There remains the potential for a
heavier snowband to develop along or east of Highway 83 leading to
higher snowfall totals.
