Flood Advisory issued March 18 at 5:27AM CDT until March 18 at 4:00PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN

…The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following rivers in Tennessee…Alabama…

Elk River Near Prospect affecting Giles and Limestone Counties.

For the Elk River…including Prospect…elevated river levels are
forecast.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Elk River near Prospect.

* WHEN…From early this morning to late this afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, Flooding is impacting agricultural areas
along the river across southeast Giles County. Water covers Veto
Rd near the Hargrove – Johnson bridge south of Route 273. It may
be unsafe to pass and motorists should seek an alternate route.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 5:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 24.7 feet and falling.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall out of action stage
later this evening.
– Action stage is 22.0 feet.
– Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
