Elk River Near Prospect affecting Giles and Limestone Counties.

For the Elk River…including Prospect…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Elk River near Prospect.

* WHEN…Until tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, Flooding is impacting agricultural areas
along the river across southeast Giles County. Water covers Veto
Rd near the Hargrove – Johnson bridge south of Route 273. It may
be unsafe to pass and motorists should seek an alternate route.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 6:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 26.9 feet and falling.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:15 PM CDT Monday was 27.6 feet.
– Forecast…The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow
morning and fall below action stage tomorrow afternoon.
– Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
