…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Vermont…

Barton River Near Coventry affecting Orleans County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE…Barton River near Coventry.

* WHEN…Until just after midnight tonight.

* IMPACTS…At 8.0 feet, Maple Street and River Road between Orleans
and Coventry Station will flood. There will be extensive field and
lowland flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 2:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 8.5 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:30 AM EDT Tuesday was 9.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this evening and continue falling to 7.4 feet just after
midnight tonight.
– Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
8.3 feet on 12/24/2022.
