Meteorological Summary:
- High pressure will settle in over the Sunshine State creating pleasant conditions with mostly sunny skies and a near-zero chance of rain.
- Sensitive to locally elevated wildfire conditions will also continue nearly statewide as relative humidity values will fall below critical thresholds this afternoon (20-30%).
- Compared to yesterday, winds will be slightly calmer gusting upwards of 10-15 mph, with stronger wind gusts upwards of 20 mph along portions of the East Coast, this afternoon.
- Red Flag conditions are not expected.
- Recent rainfall across the Panhandle and North Florida will help to preclude widespread wildfire conditions.
- High temperatures will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s along the Northeast and East-Central Florida coasts and the middle 70s to lower 80s throughout the state.
- Calm and dry conditions can be expected heading into the evening and overnight hours across the state.
- Low temperatures will fall into the lower to middle 40s throughout the interior Panhandle and upper 40s to upper 50s across the rest of the state overnight, with Southeast Florida seeing low temperatures in the lower to middle 60s.
- Numerous beaches across the state can still expect a moderate to high risk for rip currents, with the highest risk along western Peninsula and Southeast Florida beaches.
- Hazardous beach and boating conditions will persist for numerous beaches extending from the Treasure Coast through the Florida Keys due to wave heights of 5-7′.
- Minor riverine flooding continues along the Aucilla River at Lamont, and the River Flood Warning remains in effect through Saturday.
