WHAT…Relative humidity values will drop below 30 percent again
today. This combined with warm temperatures and breezy to gusty
south winds today and dry fuels, will result in elevated fire
danger this afternoon.

WHERE…Southern Iowa

WHEN…This afternoon.

IMPACTS…Any fires that ignite may spread rapidly.

PREPAREDNESS AND PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS…Burning is discouraged under
these conditions. Also, take care to prevent the start of accidental
fires when smoking or operating vehicles around dry vegetation.

* WHAT...North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * WHERE...Esmeralda and Central Nye County. * WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be a lull in winds for a few hours Thursday night before the strongest winds return Friday morning.
