Winter Storm Watch issued March 17 at 8:02PM MDT until March 19 at 12:00PM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

* WHAT…Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations up
to 3 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 65 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of east central Colorado, northwest and west
central Kansas, and southwest Nebraska.

* WHEN…From late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS…Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are possible and may make travel
treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Plan on slick and
treacherous road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact
the Wednesday morning commute. Very strong winds could cause
extensive tree damage. A combination of the strong winds and heavy
snow may lead to power outages.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Rain is expected to transition to snow
Tuesday night after sunset. Strong winds gusting to 65 mph will be
possible during the rain and transition period creating travel
concerns initially in east central Colorado prior to 12 AM
Midnight Tuesday night. Higher snow amounts are possible along and
east of Highway 83 where a heavier snow band may try to form.
