Winter Storm Watch issued March 18 at 4:12AM PDT until March 21 at 11:00PM PDT by NWS Medford OR

* WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 8 to
10 inches possible on Wednesday and 6 to 12 inches possible on
Friday. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph on Wednesday.

* WHERE…Elevations above 4500 feet in the southern Oregon Cascades
and Siskiyou Mountains. This includes Crater and Diamond Lakes,
Lake of the Woods, Mt Ashland Ski Area as well as Highways 140,
62, 138 and 230.

* WHEN…From Wednesday afternoon through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult during the winter event.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…This will come in as two systems with the
first on Wednesday and the other on Friday. There will likely be a
break between the two systems on Thursday, but there is some
uncertainty on how long that break will be.
