Special Weather Statement issued March 19 at 12:21AM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

At 1220 AM MDT, an area of heavy snow was located along a line
extending from 9 miles south of Ruleton to 12 miles north of Towner.
Movement was southeast at 35 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph are possible with this area of heavy snow.

Locations impacted include…
Sharon Springs, Wallace, Weskan, and Arapahoe.

Visibilities will drop quickly to near zero in this area of heavy
snow.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for the area. Please monitor
local media outlets and the national weather service for further
statements.

Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly
refreezes.
