Special Weather Statement issued March 19 at 6:27AM EDT by NWS Charleston WV

The combination of low relative humidity and gusty winds will
create an increased risk for fire spread through this evening.

Expect relative humidity values in the 15 to 25 percent range and
south to southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts of 20 to 25
mph. Higher wind gusts are possible along the ridges.

These conditions could lead to the rapid spread of any fires that
do occur. Consult your local burn permitting authorities on
whether you may burn outdoors today. West Virginia law prohibits
burning in the spring from 7AM to 5PM…March 1st through May
31st.
