.Widespread heavy wet snow and blowing snow will continue through
Wednesday morning, with the heaviest snow falling along and north of
US 50, and northeast of Dodge City. Wet snow accumulations on
elevated surfaces such as trees and power lines may cause power
outages, when combined with wind gusts to near 70 mph. Travel will
be difficult to dangerous Wednesday morning. Snow will end quickly
from west to east Wednesday afternoon.

gusting as high as 70 mph.
* WHERE…Portions of south central and southwest Kansas.
* WHEN…Until 11 AM MDT /noon CDT/ this morning.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Wednesday morning commute. Very strong winds
could cause extensive tree damage.
