* IMPACTS…Minor flooding of low lying areas along the Aroostook
River.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 831 AM EDT, trained weather spotters reported flooding
from the ice jam along the Gardner Creek Road and low lying
properties. Minor flooding is already occurring.
– Rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area
through the day today. This additional rain could result in
additional minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Mapleton, Washburn and Wade.
– Ice jam is currently located 1 mile NW of Castle Hill on the
Aroostook river, and extends 1.5 mile back.
