The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT
this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA…IN Oklahoma, Osage, Washington, Nowata, Craig,
Ottawa, Pawnee, Tulsa, Rogers, Mayes, Delaware, Creek,
Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Wagoner, Cherokee, Adair, Muskogee,
McIntosh, Sequoyah, Pittsburg, Haskell, Latimer, and Le Flore
counties.
* WIND…South to southwest winds 15 to 30 mph gusting 25 to 40
mph. Winds will weaken and shift to the west and northwest north
of Interstate 44 late this afternoon as a front moves into the
region.
* HUMIDITY…Afternoon humidity values 15 to 25 percent.
* TEMPERATURE…High temperatures upper 60s to mid 70s.
* IMPACTS…any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
