Winter Weather Advisory issued March 21 at 2:48AM PDT until March 22 at 5:00AM PDT by NWS Medford OR

* WHAT…Snow expected, could be heavy at times. Snow accumulations
of 8 to 16 inches, except locally up to 2 feet around Crater Lake.
Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Elevations above 5000 feet in the South Central Oregon
Cascades. This includes Crater Lake, Willamette Pass on highway 58
and areas near Diamond Lake Junction on highways 230 and 138.

* WHEN…Until 5 AM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening
commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snowfall rates generally one half inch per
hour or less today, but could reach 1 inch per hour at times
between 5 pm PDT this evening and 5 am PDT Saturday morning.
