Nottoway River At Sebrell affecting Sussex and Southampton
Counties.

Blackwater River Above Franklin affecting City of Franklin,
Southampton, Isle of Wight and City of Suffolk Counties.

For the Chowan Basin…including Rawlings, Franklin at US Highway
58/258, Stony Creek, Sebrell, Lawrenceville, Emporia, Franklin…
Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Blackwater River above Franklin.

* WHEN…Until Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 10.8 feet, A portion of Barretts Landing River Walk
is innundated in Downtown Franklin area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 10.8 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 6.8 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.0
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early Sunday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 10.8 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
11.0 feet on 09/11/2020.
