Special Weather Statement issued March 23 at 3:50AM EDT by NWS Charleston WV

The combination of low relative humidity and gusty winds will
create an increased risk for fire start and spread this afternoon
and evening.

Today, we can expect relative humidity values as low as 20 to 30
percent, along with southeasterly to southerly winds of 10 to 15
mph with gusts of 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon.

Any ignition source may quickly get out of control given the
gusty winds. For your safety and the safety of others, you are
urged to avoid outdoor burning.

The Spring fire season for Kentucky runs from February 15th through
April 30th. During this time…it is illegal to burn anything
within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland between the hours of
6 am to 6 pm.
