Special Weather Statement issued March 24 at 2:41AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX

At 241 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles south of Anahuac, or 15 miles southeast of Beach City, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Oak Island, Winnie, and Stowell.
