The combination of critically dry fuels, relative humidity values
as low as 18 to 22 percent and wind gusts as high as 20 to 25
mph, will result in an elevated fire danger across much of
interior Southeast South Carolina into the Charleston Tri-County
area this afternoon. This includes the Francis Marion National
Forest.
