Flood Advisory issued March 25 at 10:21PM CDT until April 1 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Jackson MS

…The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in
Mississippi…Louisiana…

Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Adams, Wilkinson and
Concordia Counties.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Mississippi River at Natchez.

* WHEN…Until Tuesday, April 01.

* IMPACTS…At 38.0 feet, Lowlands along the river in areas not
protected by levees begin to flood. On both side of the river,
there are areas that contain oil and gas wells; however, these are
not affected until higher stages.
At 43.0 feet, Water covers Thornburg Lake Road in the area known
as Anna’s Bottom which is north of Natchez. Also, Lake Mary Road
is under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 38.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 40.7
feet early Friday morning before slowly falling over the next
several days.
– Action stage is 38.0 feet.
– Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
