High Wind Watch issued March 25 at 2:06PM PDT until March 27 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Reno NV

* WHAT…Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Wind
prone areas may see gusts exceeding 65 mph. For Pyramid Lake, wind
gusts up to 55 mph with wave heights of 2 to 5 feet.

* WHERE…In California, Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern Sierra
Counties and Surprise Valley California. In Nevada, Northern
Washoe County, Western Nevada Basin and Range including Pyramid
Lake, Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area, and Mineral and
Southern Lyon Counties.

* WHEN…From Thursday morning through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and power outages may result. Travel
could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Small
boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and
should remain off lake waters until conditions improve. Areas of
blowing dust may reduce visibility, especially near deserts,
playas, and sinks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds may knock down burned trees in the
Davis Fire burn area.
