Flood Advisory issued March 27 at 10:37AM CDT until March 27 at 1:45PM CDT by NWS Brownsville TX

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following
counties, Brooks, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Starr and Zapata.

* WHEN…Until 145 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water
crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1037 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 3 and 6 inches
of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Zapata, Falfurrias, Agua Nueva, Hebbronville, Bustamante,
Lopeno, Encino, Rachal, Medina, Randado, Guerra, San Rafael
Ranch Airport, Santa Elena, South Fork Estates, La Gloria,
Gruy Stadium, Hebbronville High School, Santa Catarina,
Thompsonville and San Isidro.
