* WHAT…Several rounds of heavy rain are likely to cause flash
flooding across the Coastal Plains area. Rainfall amounts of 2 to
4 inches within the Flood Watch area with isolated amounts up to 6
inches possible.
* WHERE…A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Atascosa, De Witt, Gonzales, Karnes, Lavaca and Wilson.
* WHEN…Through Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Abundant Gulf moisture combined with a slow moving storm
system will bring multiple rounds of scattered to numerous
showers and thunderstorms. Rain will intensify again on
Thursday and continue into Friday morning. However, there
will be periods of light rain, at times.
