Special Weather Statement issued March 27 at 12:40PM CDT by NWS Brownsville TX

At 1240 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Las Lomas, or near Rio Grande City, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
La Rosita, Starr County Memorial Hospital, La Puerta, Ringgold Middle
School, La Casita, La Victoria, Rio Grande City, Los Alvarez, Rio
Grande City–roma, and Fort Ringgold County Park.

This includes US Highway 83 between mile markers 814 and 832.
