* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE…A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following
counties, Cameron, Hidalgo and Willacy.
* WHEN…Until 400 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all
the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems
in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1150 AM CDT, At 11:45 AM CDT, emergency management
continues to report flooding in the warned area. Numerous
roads and subdivisions remain underwater. Between 10 and 20
inches of rain have fallen.
– Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Harlingen, San Benito, Mercedes, La Feria, Progreso, Santa
Rosa, Rio Hondo, Palm Valley, Los Indios, Laureles, La
Paloma, Rangerville, Arroyo City, Santa Maria, Brownsville,
Primera, Combes, Rio Hondo City Hall, Rio Hondo Junior High
School and Rio Hondo Elementary School.
