…SIGNIFICANT ICING IN CENTRAL WISCONSIN FROM THIS EVENING INTO
SUNDAY EVENING…
.Rain will change over to freezing rain tonight and continue into
Sunday. Ice accumulations will range from a glaze to a half inch in
spots. In addition to the ice, there will be mix of sleet and snow
which may produce up to 1 inch late Sunday afternoon and evening.
Due to a more southern track in the surface low, temperatures will
be colder in central Wisconsin. This will result in a glaze to a
quarter of an inch of ice. As a result, Adams, Jackson, Juneau, and
Monroe counties were added to the Winter Weather Advisory.
* WHAT…Significant icing expected. Ice accumulations up to a half
inch. Snow and sleet accumulations up to one inch.
* WHERE…Taylor County.
* WHEN…From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Significant ice accumulation on
power lines and tree limbs may cause power outages.
