High Wind Watch issued March 30 at 1:44AM MDT until April 2 at 12:00AM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

* WHAT…West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph possible.

* WHERE…Sandia and Manzano Mountains including Edgewood, Southwest
Mountains, Estancia Valley, Central Highlands, South Central
Mountains, Northeast Highlands, Eastern San Miguel County,
Guadalupe County, Eastern Lincoln County, and Southwest Chaves
County.

* WHEN…From Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS…Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines,
leading to power outages. Dangerous crosswinds will create
difficult driving conditions on northwest-to-southeast oriented
roads, especially for high profile vehicles such as large trucks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Due to severe and extreme drought across much
of New Mexico, widespread areas of blowing dust will develop
within the gusty winds. This will increase the risk of low
visibility of one half mile or less, creating dangerous travel
conditions.
