Rip Current Statement issued March 31 at 3:38AM AST until March 31 at 6:00PM AST by NWS San Juan PR

* WHAT…Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf
zone.

* WHERE…Beaches of Rincon and Aguada.

* WHEN…Through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water, where it becomes difficult to
return to safety.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds will slightly subside late this
evening. leading to a decrease of life-threatening rip currents
along these beaches. However, winds are expected to strengthen
again by the end of the week, likely necessitating the reissuance
of a High Rip Current Risk for these area.
