High Wind Warning issued March 31 at 10:55PM MDT until April 1 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

* WHAT…West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected.

* WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central,
northeast, southeast, and west central New Mexico.

* WHEN…From 6 AM to 9 PM MDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are possible. Dangerous crosswinds will create
difficult driving conditions on north-to-south oriented roads,
especially for high profile vehicles such as large trucks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Due to severe and extreme drought across much
of New Mexico, widespread areas of blowing dust will develop with
the gusty winds. This will increase the risk of low visibility of
one half mile or less, creating dangerous travel conditions.
