Beach Hazards Statement issued April 2 at 1:24AM CDT until April 2 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX

* WHAT…Dangerous rip currents and minor coastal flooding,
mainly during times of high tides expected.

* WHERE…Gulf-facing beaches, including the Matagorda
Peninsula, Brazoria County beaches, Galveston Island and the
Bolivar Peninsula.

* WHEN…From 5 AM CDT early this morning through this evening.

* IMPACTS…Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water. Minor flooding of lots, parks, and roads
with only isolated road closures possible.
