areas, Lenawee, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and
Wayne.
* WHEN…From 8 PM EDT this evening through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will impact
southeast Michigan today and tonight, producing periods of
heavy rainfall. The heaviest rainfall develops this evening
and overnight in which rates may exceed a half inch per hour
for several hours. A widespread 1.50 to 2 inches of rainfall
is expected by Thursday morning, with higher amounts possible
if thunderstorms repeatedly impact the same areas.
