A light wintry mix of wet snow, fog, and mist transitions to snow
showers and blustery southwest winds behind a cold front late
tonight. Near gale-force southwesterly winds behind this front
may push water through cracks in the ice, flooding shorefast ice
by Wednesday morning.
– Additional snow accumulations of 1-3 inches and a light glaze
of ice are expected by Wednesday morning with little
accumulation afterwards. Locally higher snow amounts up to 5
inches are possible at the highest elevations of the Nulato
Hills.
– Colder temperatures on Wednesday will freeze wet or slushy
surfaces lingering from the ongoing wintry mix.
