Winter Weather Advisory issued April 1 at 3:11PM AKDT until April 2 at 10:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK

* WHAT…Additional wet snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches with
the highest amounts expected at elevations above 1000 ft. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph may result in patchy blowing and
drifting snow.

* WHERE…Upper Chena River Valley and Chatanika River Valley.

* WHEN…Until 10 PM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Up to 5 inches of snow is expected Tuesday
evening through Wednesday evening. Warmer temperatures with
highs in the 40s are expected Thursday through Sunday, but
nighttime temperatures dip below freezing resulting in a
potentially treacherous freeze-thaw cycle.
