* WHEN…From 10 PM Thursday to 7 PM AKDT Friday.
* IMPACTS…Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to
blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A significant winter storm will move across
the Kuskokwim Delta coast and Nunivak Island. Gusty winds in
combination with falling snow will lead to blizzard conditions,
especially across Nunivak Island. The worst conditions will likely
occur after midnight Friday morning. Visibility reductions to
one-half mile are expected with brief periods to one-quarter mile
for Toksook Bay to Kipnuk as winds accelerate through Etolin
Strait. Snow showers and gusty winds are expected to persist
through the weekend, though intensity should decrease Friday night.
