Flood Advisory issued April 3 at 3:37PM EDT until April 3 at 6:45PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall are expected.

* WHERE…Portions of east central and southeast Kentucky, including
the following counties, in east central Kentucky, Bath, Elliott,
Estill, Fleming, Menifee, Montgomery, Powell and Rowan. In
southeast Kentucky, Morgan.

* WHEN…Until 645 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 334 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of moderate to
heavy rain due to showers and embedded thunderstorms. Between
1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen across the area since this
morning.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding of small streams and creeks, roads, and roadside
culverts.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Mount Sterling, Morehead, Stanton, Flemingsburg, Owingsville,
Frenchburg, Marshall, Jeffersonville, Camargo, Clay City,
Sharpsburg, Salt Lick, Fairview, Polksville, Peasticks,
Moore’s Ferry, Slate Valley, Craigs, Wyoming and Olympia.
