Mississippi…

Yalobusha At Whaley affecting Leflore and Carroll Counties.

Big Sunflower River At Sunflower affecting Sunflower County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Yalobusha at Whaley.

* WHEN…From Sunday evening to late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 21.0 feet, Lowland flooding is occurring near the
river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river will slowly rise over the next few days,
before climbing above flood stage Sunday evening and to a
crest of 22.0 feet early Monday morning.
– Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

Warm and dry conditions are expected this afternoon. Coupled with breezy winds, conditions for fire are expected to be near critical. Areas along and east of I-29 are the most likely to experience near critical conditions. Humidity levels should decrease to 20-25% this afternoon as winds are weakening. Occasional gusts of 25-30 mph may create temporary periods of critical fire conditions.
