…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana…

White River at Elliston.

White River at Spencer.

White River at Newberry.

White River at Ravenswood.

Eel River at Bowling Green.

.Significant and some major flooding is expected to develop
along the White River due to several rounds of heavy rainfall
through Sunday. Wednesday night rainfall of generally two to three
inches fell across the White basin. Additional rainfall of three to
five inches in the upper and middle White and five to seven inches
in the lower White is expected through Sunday morning, and this is
all included in today’s forecasts.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Eel River at Bowling Green.

* WHEN…From this afternoon to Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Flood water, possibly a foot deep, covers
SR 42 just east of the Eel River. Several county roads flood
extensively. Persons in river cabins move cars and possibly
belongings to high ground. Agricultural levees are threatened.
Poland-Bowling Green Road is impassable in several places.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 16.9 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Thursday was 16.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river will fall below flood stage late this
evening to 12.1 feet tomorrow evening. It will then rise
above flood stage Saturday morning to 20.3 feet Sunday
morning. It will fall below flood stage again early Monday
morning.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
