Flood Warning issued April 3 at 1:53PM CDT until April 6 at 5:00PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Oklahoma…

Illinois River near Watts affecting Adair and Delaware Counties.

Illinois River near Tahlequah affecting Cherokee County.

Illinois River at Chewey affecting Adair, Delaware and Cherokee
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Illinois River near Watts.

* WHEN…From Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from the Arkansas
border to near Fidler’s Bend. Permanent campgrounds are affected.
Extreme turbulence makes the river unsafe for floating.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 3.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Saturday afternoon to a crest of 14.8 feet late
Saturday night. It will then fall below flood stage late
Sunday morning. This forecast is based on the next 48 hours
of forecast rainfall. Continue to monitor updates to this
forecast.
– Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
